Hello all.
I'm having some problems with a HP zv6000 laptop a friend of mine got a load of viruses on. I thought I'd gotten rid of them all, and have been getting BSOD's related to driver issues, so the BSOD forum suggested I come here and do the 8 step just to make sure it's clean.
However, when I try to install Malwarebyte's or Super Anti Spyware, they do not load. The mouse pointer turns to the hourglass, and then nothing happens.
Any ideas? CCleaner worked fine, as did Avast.

Edit: In the Task Manager, the mbam-setup.exe has appeared, but it appears to not be running as usual...
Edit 2: After trying to run SuperAntiSpyware, it says it has encountered an error and needs to close.
