Vista: Bad image error

  1. Basically this is what i did to cause this problem,firstly i had the Bootmgr is not found problem so i downloaded a windows repair CD to fix it which it did.Then when i try to open a program like firefox it has the bad image error same goes for msn and even task manager.I then relised what i did wrong i downloaded windows vista 64 while i was using 32 normally

    What i tried:
    1)Installing windows update
    2)Downloaded the 32b vista repair CD but when i select repair it says they havent found a problem. =[

    please some1 help me out its getting on my nerves =]

    Hard to say what's wrong with that, but as a first try I would say, uninstall your Graphics driver, and download a new one from Makers site. Make sure you know what graphic card you have, or chip if it's a laptop. The sites you would need to go to are either,
    nvidia, ATI, or Intel. If you don't know which you have, go to your 'Search' box, type 'dxdiag'
    press enter, and on the first screen you see, click on the second tab, 'Display', it will have the make and type of your Graphics chips. Hope that's of use.
