Vista beta or not?

How do I know if i have a beta version? Something popped up and said i had a beta version which is not supported by microsoft
anymore. I though i had the ultimate version

Click the Start button .

Click on Control Panel, followed by System and Maintenance.
Click on Welcome Center.
The edition of Windows Vista you are running is displayed with your computer details near the top of the window
