I got a cd key from a school deal for free for vista pro. i can install it properly on a new hard drive (1000 gigs) and then every time i go to run it i get this error and the blue screen.
0x0000007e (0xFFFFFFFFC000000, 0XFFFFF8000985E251, 0XFFFFF98001AF6428, 0XFFFFF98001AF5E00)
When i go to repair it says nothing is wrong. I have also downloaded a new cd and burned it and tried again but I'm still getting the same thing.
Any suggestions?

one or more of these may be your issue
1. there is no such such os as vista pro.
2. the iso image you are burning may be corrupt.
3. 1TB is too big for windows setup to see. try breaking it into 2x 500GB. I heave of vista automatically doing that to the TB drives
