I had my pc idle and somehow my computer went BSOD and then it says memory dump.. reboots. Anyone know this problem, why I got this? never happened before

- on the sidenote: I get this noise (like how when you first bootup the noise of the HDD) once every while.. and my music player (winamp) pauses for a few seconds.. happens frequently.. it doesnt freezes my computer.. but it makes that noise!! (i'm not sure where it's actual location but I never had this issue before)

anyone could help? thank you!!

Go into Computer, right-click on the C drive. Select Properties, Tools, Check Now... Check "automatically scan for errors" I'm using Windows 7 so it may be a bit different. Set a disk check on reboot and restart your computer. Let the disk check run and correct any errors detected. If your hard drive is ok, your memory will be the next thing to check. Good luck :)
