VMware Workstation 8 not installing Windows 7 64-bit

  1. Hey guys I have a asus x73s laptop with core I 7 intell processor windows 7 elite 64 bit 8 gigs ddr3 ram.

    I newly formatted and was putting all my toys back on the comp installed workstation 8 vmware I installed Ubuntu backtrack 5 no problem in the vm also I managed to get a windows xp box on the vm but no windows 7 not sure why it just says
    PXE-MOF Exiting Intel PXE ROM Operating system not Found


    ive searched the net and tried things they say and cant figure it out ive tried 64 and 32 bit windows 7 and nothing any help would be awesome thanks

    I had this problem as well, turned out to be that my computer didn't support virtualization of 64 bit OS's. However since you have an I7 I dont know why it wouldnt install normally.

    Ill let you know if I find an answer, as I am searching as well.
