W32.Myzor.FK@yf....problems a plenty

I'm a new user on this blog, and was forwarded here via a search of the above. I'm pretty sure this was the result of my housesitting neighbor, as it wasn't a problem before we went on vacation.
I've attached the HJT log (something I've never known about before this happened). Any ideas as to what I can do, short of reformating and starting over? I've tried to follow along on a previous thread, but I'm afraid that what I have is not the same as that persons trojan.

You have an outdated version of Hijackthis, get an up to date one HERE

Once you have done this, then you would be best following all the steps mentioned HERE.

There do seem to be some bad things in your log so it would be good to follow these.

Good luck.

Here is the info....based on the string....

The 3rd Tool is a dead link....and I wasn't sure where to go to get that one, since I didn't know what it was.

AV Antispyware was run, but I wan't able to quarantine the results (it was greyed out)....it did find two tracing cookies when run in SAFE mode.

I forgot to add....the pc is running a little slower than usual, but I'm not seeing the pop ups and errors coming up anymore.....

You're helping me out a ton! I can't thank you enough!!!

We'll attempt to speed the pc back up after all the infections are gone.

TOOL 3 can be obtained from here, and if thats the only thing that AVG picked up then that should be ok.

Your log is looking a lot better, what I would suggest is getting a firewall from comodo or zone alarm, deleting the Yahoo! toolbar, potentially getting rid of Norton and following these steps from Blind Dragon,

1)Uninstall any of the following program(s) using Add/Remove Programs if they are present. To do this, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel and

double-click on Add/Remove Programs. From within Add/Remove Programs

highlight each one and select Remove.

Netpumper
BitRoll
Browser Enhancer
CiD Help
CiD Manager
Download Plugin for Internet Explorer
Lop.com
LOP SEARCH
Messenger Plus
Ultimate Browser Enhance
Window Search

2)Setup" is now displayed. Click on the Uninstall button. Note: options

displayed on the first screen are not related to the sponsor program.

3)The sponsor screen is now displayed (if you don't see it, search for it

in your Task Bar). To prove that someone is currently reading the screen,

you have to type the code that is displayed. Once you enter the code,

press Uninstall.

4)If you entered the code properly, the program will ask you to confirm that

you want to uninstall. You must answer "Yes" to this question,

else, you won't have another chance of uninstalling.

5)Reboot your computer

6)Run another scan with Hijackthis and attach a new log

I've taken a look at Add/Remove....and none of those programs are loaded. In the next steps you refer to a 'setup'....

3)The sponsor screen is now displayed (if you don't see it, search for it

4)If you entered the code properly, the program will ask you to confirm that

Where is this setup? I've looked in Add/Remove, as well as in Task Mgr and the Start Menu....Are you referring to when I un-install any of those listed applications?

yes, if they dont appear then in the add/remove programs then you dont need to worry about step two onward.

Could you run another HJT log? Then we'll look at sorting out the speed issues.
