    Warning scammers

    Hi!

Here is how some random scammers tried to do...

Here is the 2nd e-mail and if you get anythin like this one you know your getting scammed...

Hi Seller thanks for the quick response.I live in Whittier
California.I will like to purchase this ITEM from you with nothing
less than EUR1100 for this ITEM i will love to pay you by cash and come
for the pick up but am out of states right now that’s why i will be
giving you an additional EUR100 for the shipment to my son Abroad
through USPS. And i will be paying you with PayPal or bank transfer
    cause it is the
safest and easiest way for online transactions and because i am a
verified PayPal member and I could also send payment through my bank.So i
will like you to send me your PayPal ID or
send me your bank information so as to make payment right away. But if
you don’t have a PayPal just visit http://www.PayPal.com.And sign
    up.Thanks.And
one more thing i will like you to please be honest with me so as to
link you with my other friends in case you have other goods because i
have just been scammed by a seller. Thanks! And i will like to see
pictures. You can call me on 009447024015911…..

And then much yada yada yada about fast shipment and **** like that…then came the “paypal e-mails” but on the PayPal web site you can’t find anything about any transactions or tracking ID confirmations or anything so I googled the e-mail adr. and found this page...on that page the scammers are supposedly from Nigeria but "our" scammers were from the states

    Scammers e-mail list:
    bauerbristow2009@yahoo.com
    dvdsmith03@gmail.com (on behalf of Service@paypal)
    accountmonitoredonline@officeemail.net

P.S. some good advice – PayPal e-mails has a green “microsoft ok/safe” shield…I’m not sure how to explain it but thats what it looks like in windows Live...allways google all the e-mail adresses and topics and everything if possible...

    EDIT

    All the new e-mail addresses:

    mrsnaomiedward@gmail.com
    jerseypee@hotmail.com
    loveme2sexy@gmail.com
    smithcoleus02@gmail.com

is it evil to make a little program (NOT a virus) that kills the scammers computer?

    Here are some more details:

Name that's shown when a a-mail is received: Mark Beckly
    E-mail: mark_beckley01@yahoo.com

    Details that "he" sends:
    Name :- James Beckley
    Address:- 40 Bamwell avenue
    City:- Visalia
    State:- California
    Zip Code:- 93277
    Country:- USA

This guy says that he can't use PayPal for unknown reasons so he wants you bank account details/information.

    ----

I googled hes e-mail adr. and found that he wants to buy many expensive items and products via yahoo. So I wrote and asked if he could pay via PayPal but no (I guess he recognized my e-mail adr.) so then I asked why he doesn't use the same details as before but nothing...

Anyway, I hope this helps...or at least helps someone that's not sure about the sender and googles the same e-mail addresses or names :)

    Hi DjKraid

I'm glad you you realized this was as a scammer.

This is just one of many different variations of "advanced fee" scams where you are asked to send money in exchange for a profit. ALL of these types of requests are scams! to get your money and/or bank account / credit card / paypal information.

Also note... Quite often these scams are international. This is because some scammers may even send you a bogus money order or check. International checks may take awhile to pass through international banks. BUT when the bank finds your check is bogus, you're the one on hook!

See this news article: Banks Honor Bogus Checks and Scam Victims Pay (even after a bank might say the check "cleared" after a couple days)

I don't get it how the god damn scammers and BSers always finds me...ok I always sell loads of expensive stuff and have many "posts" (or what ever it can be called) on different sites...but how can someone from (ex.) US find me especially when everything is written in Finnish..?

This is a full time job for most of these scammers. They spend their day in internet cafes crawling the web for new prey. It's both unfortunate (and maddening) that most continue finding new willing victims that believe their con.

Even more maddening that few are actually caught and prosecuted since these scams are almost always international

The scammer is using google translate with poor results and it says that it just recently has lost it's daughter and what nat...any how the price at all pages and ads ranges from 100€ to 500€ and then tha scammer has taken the pictures from google...

Anyhow the birds name is "SCARLET" and they told me it's in Belgium and on the other pages we found it was where ever...

The e-mail addresses the scammers are using (that we (me and my gf) have found so far):
    kelly.westly@gmail.com
    doctormariaperez@gmail.com

Here is the original site where the scammer has taken the picures (atleast the ones I got).

My summary, they have made a piss poor job and no research at all. But anyhow I will try to find out what they want this time and keep this thread up to date.

    DjKraid:

If I had to guess, I would think at one point in your life that you might have been taken advantage of by a scammer! If so, I don't think you liked how it felt, and are now on a "one man army" to warn and rid the world of these "bottom feeders"! I admire what your doing and support activist-ism................

Good luck on your valiant crusades! :)

Nope, actually my first encounter with scammers was when I posted my first thread. I only find them when I'm scrolling trough "marketplaces" (like for ex. ebay) when I try to sell stuff and check what stuff is worth. And then of course sometimes they find me, like now...

Anyhow I also know a few people that have been scammed and that sort of motivates me :)
