WD usb hdd problom with regonition

    i got a wd hdd usb, with an outside power sourch.
    it worked pretty well for a few months , then last night my computer just stoped regonnizing it ..
    i checked it on my friend's comp and it did ..
    could some1 refer me to a solution/drivers/anything ?
    it did have some trouble regonizing in that past, but all i had to do was take out the usb and put it back it, and it would, or just use a reinstallation of my sis usb chipset

    and another a-might-be-importent info, im using SiS .. could that be the reason for it not recognizing ?
