web browser - shdoclc.dll/navcancl.htm issue

    Hi

    I am using Internet explorer and cannot connect to the ebay web pages. When I try I get an action canceled page displayed and the url entry changes to - res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll/navcancl.htm

    I have installed Mozilla and initially this worked but as of today, when I enter the ebay URL nothing happens.

    You have an infestation. Try Spyware Doctor, Spysweeper, AVG AntiSpyware, Adaware, SpyBot, CWShredder, SpywareBlaster, and some Free on-line Scans.
    You can find more help by doing a search of this TechSpot forum. It has come up many times, with good comments resulting.

    Many thanks for that advice. I did another ad-aware scan and rebooted and this seems to have worked. I can now get into ebay.

    f.y.i. I am now running version 1.06 ad-aware Personal SE.
