I collect watches, so I'm an outlier... yes I still wear a watch, a different one each day.

But even I tend to check my phone more, depending on which watch I am wearing and tend to just wear them as an affectation to suit my mood and outfit.

I feel sorry for people who feel the need to wear a watch. None of them are free men.

I feel sorry for those who think they are free when in reality no one is free. The days of being free is over and have been for a long time.

Monday through Friday I wear a watch. It's a Fossil watch but what I really want is either a Movado or Bulova watch. I've always wanted one of those.

When I was younger, yes I used to have a watch. I remember being amazed by digital watches that hasd lights on there or that you could wear in the shower without them breaking

Now, phones got the time, and its more socialy accectable to use your phone in everyday enviroments. Watches still have uses tho.

Yeah still wear a watch, Had the same timberland indiglo for about fifteen years now, still on second battery too. Great watch very beaten up now as its taken a beating over the years. Saved my wrist from a direct hit from a mattock an ***** swung during a dig, The watch only got a scratch I got a lovely bruise the ***** got kicked off the dig.

I don't feel dressed without my watch
  10. Where I do love technology like everyone else on this site, I also have a love for mechanical devices. I have 3 watches that I switch between depending on how I feel that day. I do occasionally check my phone for the date and time as a reference to my watch just to make sure they match but I mainly still use my watches. I'm intrigued by these smartwatches that may be coming to market soon, though.

Even so, it is going to be difficult to find a tech device that gives me the same joy as watching the gears and springs operate on my open heart Bulova.

I'm Swiss, and I can't go without wearing my watch. It's an inner urge to be on time, and wearing a sleek watch every day is just nice. People occasionally compliment me, and its only a $100 Swatch, so I enjoy wearing a watch every day.

Yup. Been wearing one for nigh on 5 decades now (obviously I remove it from time to time). Far more convenient to look at my wrist than to haul out my phone only to discover the sun shining directly on the screen and I can't see the time anyway.
  14. Don't have a cell phone (had one but decided it didn't do anything to improve my life, but rather made me spend more time away from the people I care about). So yes I do have a watch on. Timex Iron Man - A bit scuffed up on the outside from surfing on the north shore, riding my motorcycle, diving (Free diving & SCUBA), but otherwise going strong :)

Nope I stopped wearing a watch when I had a horrible accident at work. I was always watching my watch. It set the pace of my day. Then one day Im working on a pallet and realize that im checking my watch every few mins. As Im unloading this pallet and stressing on how little time I had to complete my project, I took a misstep and wrenched my back pretty bad. Three lower spinal surgeries later and 5 years of physical thereapy taught me a very important lesson. A watch is an excellent tool, but dont let it run your life.
  16. Started wearing a watch long before the invention of cell phones and pretty much wear one 24/7, much easier to flip my wrist than digging out the cell. I do have several watches but my daily wearer is a Citizen. For other occasions I have nicer pieces. Also have my Dad's 50 year old Omega.
