Weekend Open Forum: What was the first game you ever played?

It's a tough call, because I really did get into gaming near the beginning:

-- 1st game that we actually owned: Pong (c. 1979 to 1981)
-- 1st game that I played in the arcade: was probably either Space Invaders or Asteroid
-- 1st game that I played on a console: probably either Air-Sea Battle or Combat
-- 1st game that I played on a PC: Oregon Trail (Apple II+ edition)
-- 1st game for a console/PC that we owned: Buck Rogers on Coleco's Adam PC
-- 1st game for x86 PCs: Doom (of course), followed closely by X-Wing

First PC game - one on one, a basketball game between Pacers President Larry Bird and a local doctor from the Philadelphia area.

first home console game - pong, seaquest, or river raid. I can't remember

first arcade game - asteroid or star wars sit down version FTW!

I can't remember the name of it but it was a sort of rescue the princess game. It was on a large stand up machine in a bar that ran off of what had to be a 14 inch DVD laser disc. The bad guys had captured your girlfriend and you had to chase them down. What ever moves you made affected what move they made next etc. I never got close to them and I always ran out of quarters way too soon. You know how it is; drink beer or play machine Beer wins every time.

First Computer Game: Black Jack on a TRS 80 Model 2
First Console Game: pong
First Arcade Game: Galaga
First PC/DOS Computer Game: Leisure Suit Larry in the land of the Lounge Lizards

Pac-Man for the Atari 2600. I was at a neighbor's house and I was maybe 5 or 6 years old. The game was a terrible imitation of the original, but I didn't care.

The first computer game I played about 1972 was a Star Trek shooter/adventure game that ran on a mainframe and later on an 8080 mini computer and was played on a green screen text monitor or teletype.

Pong for me waaaaay back in 1975 I was 18 and it hooked me for life I to this day (maybe it is why I really love Twitch) miss the Arcades just so enjoyed watching really good players of which I am not rack up some great scores in the games back then. Must admit I love escaping to the game worlds and getting away from reality.

First game I remember playing as a kid - Mystery House (1980) on an apple

Second Game I remember playing as a kid - Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards (1987) on an old x286 system . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leisure_Suit_Larry_in_the_Land_of_the_Lounge_Lizards

3rd Game as a kid - SimCity (1989)

After that I was hooked on PC Gaming!
Looked at the link for Mystery House oh man I remember that one drove me nuts as I am not good with puzzles lol I was 23 more interested in chicks and disco's back then as well as a note I did like a game called Zaxxon that was pretty good too.

That would be Dragon's Lair (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon's_Lair_(1983_video_game).

Pong was the first. Early 70s in a pizza parlor in Lincoln, NE. One of my early favorites was Missle Command, both in the arcade, and later on my Radio Shack Color Computer (Coco).

We shrunk the paddles and sped up the ball. It was that stupid console that started me down the road that has left me scarred for life, I can not look at a computer, phone or really anything that is programmable without trying to change it.
