Startups give Google thumbs-up over MS Granted, Google just yanked the curtain away from their challenge to Windows, but startups may already be moving in. Tech entrepreneurs who feel that Redmond’s OS is stale might just be the opening Google needs. Reuters

Dell may test Chrome OS Dell said on Friday that they would be willing to test Google’s OS, but made no commitment to offer it with future products. I suppose it was inevitable that they, as well as other OEMs in the netbook arena, see whether or not Chrome OS can carry its own. PC World

Windows 7 RTM on Track, Compiled We previously reported that the RTM build was delayed due to show-stopper bugs. However, WZor says that they have managed to meet the compile target date of July 10th and have compiled the RTM build. Unlike what we previously suspected, it is build 7600.16384.090710-1945, and not 7300. This build has a valid digital signature, and cannot be faked. Geek Smack
