was having some .dll issues with my AIM 6. tried reinstalling, no luck.
So I figure let me go back to an older version, see if that fixes things, no luck again.
So I go to start up my AIM just now and spybot teatimer asks me if I want to allow new data...C:\Program files\AIM\aim.exe -cnetwait.odl

And my AIM gives me this aim.exe pop up that says Unable To Locate Component...
this application has failed to start because iertutil.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

after xing it out several times my AIM seems to run fine.

    Hi :

For AIM, the most malware-prone of all the Instant Messengers, I recommend
periodically running the FREE "AimFix" from
    http://jayloden.com/aimfix.htm .

AIMFix as posted obove is a good way to go. However, if that does not work for you, you should download Trilian (here http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/). This is a better IM client and is not as prone to malware issues or malfunction like AIM is. Trilian suports AIM sn so you dont have to worry about making a new buddy list or screen name.
