My friend has a problem, if he has his computer on for about 5 minutes, the screen scrambles and freezes. I told him it is probably the video card, but I'm not sure. What do you think is wrong?

His computer is a gateway, about 5 years old, and the video card is built onto the MoBo. ( that's pretty much all i know about it's specs.)

yep that video on the mobo is onboard...and most onboard is well...bad
and since the pc is five 5 years old and an OEM, its outdated
2 solutions
try to update the drivers for the mothermoard
get a video card
30-50 dollars is decent
or dump it
it might be running under 1 gigahert
