What do i need to capture my screen with ease?

Im doing a course online over webex. I want to capture my screen while im doing the course with the guy using camtasia. I want to buy a laptop that can do this. the one I have right now is running an old i3 380M with 2gb of ram and when as I record the video on the webex app goes to complete **** and I cant really do the course much less record it. I dont want to spend too much money on a new laptop. would someone make some cheap suggestions that would get the job done? thanks
