What power connectors does a 5830 use?

  1. Trying to see if I can swap a Radeon 5830 for a 5850 but need to know if it uses 6pin connectors or 8pins because the 5850 used 8pins

    Radeon 5830 needs two 6-pin connectors. That's the AMD reference card anways, what make/model are you looking at?

    I think Asus uses a 6 pin AND an 8 pin, as an example, so you have to check the makers specs for the individual card.

    Im pretty sure its a standard reference amd card because its a Dell 7100 desktop and they wouldn't put aftermarket cards in, the card I want to swap it out with is a gigabyte OC 5850
