  1. I am going to purchase new ram because right now my ram sucks. Plain and simple. I'm just wondering what ram i should get. This is the mobo i have. http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2222539&CatId=0 and i have an AMD athlon X2 4200+. Right now i'm trying to decide between these. http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1010976&Tab=11&NoMapp=0

so what do you guys think. i would perfer spending less than $150 but if it is really worth it i may go up to $200. So if anyone has some advice or has something better to recommend plz dont hesitate to post. Thnx! Also keep in mind this is a gaming PC.

I have an ASUS mobo, but the 4600+ AMD X2. I have 2 Gig of the Patriot XBLK and it has been excellent for over a year. May be a bit on the high side price wise.

I really don't see much of an edge in spending a lot more money for extreme RAM or fast RAM. The speed difference is hardly noticable. Since I don't ever recommend overclocking, I would just stick with quality standard RAM.
