WHAT the hell is this DirectX 9.0c?

What the hell the DirectX9.0c is?
I have a machine with XP and SP2.
The installation goes all right but the Dxdiag only says that DirectX9.0b is installed on the machine.
Any suggestions over there.
I have tried restarting the machine after installation.
And also I had installed the thing on safe mode.
But it doesn,t works!

DX9c is the version that comes after DX9b.

You can get it from www.Microsoft.com
