What's the problem

  1. I have an emachine computer that will not power up. What can be the problem...the motherboard or the power switch...??? Any suggestions. Thanks

    Probably both the power supply and the motherboard. Try replacing the power supply first

    It can be a variety of problems, from a faulty or dead power supply, or a misaligned processor or a computer with no RAM.

    Did you install any software or any new hardware recently before this started to happen?

    keep in mind, this IS an eMachines. They are unlike any other computer

    what' the problem

    I did add another drive after one went out, could that have caused it?

    It could be, you might want to test this drive in an external or in another computer to see if the drive itself is not bad.

    try clearing the CMOS if its the PSU there is a simple way to test that your self with a paper clip
