When are the 40 lane PCI boards coming out?

  1. I'm sure im not the only one wondering... when are the 28-40 lane pci boards coming out that intel promissed us?

    I have 40 GPU's that I need to stick in a board for extreme gaming....

    It has to be a joke - you couldn't stack 28 GPUs in a case in the first place. Even a 900D couldn't hold it all. It's just missing the smiley... fix it maybe?

    You somehow expect 40 PCI-E lanes to service 40 GPUs ? So you expect to see a motherboard with 40 PCIE x1 slots?

    BTW: 40 lanes of PCI-E are available on X99 boards with a supporting CPU

    ...there are even PLX lane extended equipped boards that allow for 64 PCI-E 3.0 lanes, and server boards with 80+ lanes of PCI-E 3.0
