    Hello!

In your opinion, which cpu is best:
    Intel Celeron 433 MHz or
    AMD K6 500 MHz?

Why am i even bothering? Well It happens that I have two "pre-historic" computers and I plan to merge into one. Which one should be used as base? I have no clue of installed mobos etc.

    Any answer is appreciated.

It would help to know what exact model of Celeron and K6 they are.

Also, there are other factors like any L3 cache, amount of RAM and suchlike that affect performance.

Mendocino Celerons were the first to have on die L2 cache. I think that gives it a one up on the K6, all though differences in the motherboards may make it a closer call.

K6-2+ and K6-3 had L2 cache too and we know that he has K6-2 or above since the original K6 was never made above 300MHz.

The most reliable way to know which system is faster would be to use them both and see which one is faster for you and your applications :)
