  1. I'm on Windows 7 (64 bit)
    Core i7
    6 GB memory
Logitech speakers that sounded amazing with my old Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS card. (5 speakers, 1 sub)

I have an open PCI and an open PCIe x16 slot

Movies (action), music (rock/metal), light gaming.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks

Messed with it a bit, and it's working. Doesn't sound bad. I need an EQ to play with, make my own levels.

The ASUS P6X58D-E MoBo uses the Realtek ALC889, go HERE to get the newest drivers, the Realtek HD Audio Manager has a good EQ.

i'd recommend foobar2000 if you're playing with EQ. i don't find any other free music player which offer superior and smooth EQ than foobar2000, thanks to the complex algorithm used in it.
