i live about 10 miles from oxford, england

in a village that people say has 3 houses haha

there's a pub but no shop or post office or anything

That's the trouble. Most members don't even provide their basic locations like Europe, England (UK), Africa, Australia or just USA. We should run a campaign to get members to do this basic thing...

I hate it when I tell a member to look at Newegg and they live outside the continental US. If they don't post a location, I always treat them as living in the US

exactly, i don't really know why most new people don't bother to put even a location in their profile, i suppose they don't know how helpful it is to everyone else

same, if there's no location i say look at newegg or ebuyer if you're in the uk, because that covers both bases really but it shouldn't be necessary really, should it

i think reading the "guide to good posts" should be mandatory for new members as well

good points are: brilliant people who can drink anyone (I mean anyone) else under the table; strangely beautiful countryside even in deepest winter; mind blowing vodka; liqueur called Lakka which is known as "knickers off licor" in my circle; a few very very beautiful women; brilliant midsummer parties.
Bad points: effing cold; not enough daylight in the winter; booze is expensive.
No - I'm not Finnish; just a Brit who spent some there (as well as Lagos, Vancouver, Istanbul, Berlin, Paris, Bruxelles, Amsterdam, Cairo, Dublin [The BEST], Zaragosa, Nicosia and so on) so I think I know what I am talking about!

Jeez I just noticed this thread. I gotta get out more. I live in the mythical city of South Los Angeles. It used to be called South Central but they changed it because they though South Central had image problems. I live in the South West section of South L.A. Actually I don't live in either place. I live in a strip controlled by the County, which never bothered to become part of the actual City of Los Angeles. It's called Athens Westmont, though there is no Greek temples in the vicinity, but there are a couple of hills. So actually, I don't live in any city. Are you all getting this? Let me narrow it down, so anyone actually from Los Angeles knows where in the hell I'm talking about. I live 2 blocks west of the 112th St. Neighbor-Hood Crips, and 2 blocks East and 2 blocks south of the Crenshaw Mafia Gangsta Bloods, who actually live in Inglewood. I'm lucky though. Being the only white boy in the neighborhood, I don't have to worry...much. Besides I have guard cats trained to kill. Wanna come visit? LOL

I currently live about an hour north of Houston, Texas in the grand states (besides for the explicit lack of a modicum of profession and control in our gov't) in a little town called Montgomery.
