Why Building a Gaming PC Right Now Might Be a Good Idea!

Sorry can't buy used mining GPUs show some backbone don't support the people the ruined the GPU market. Buy NEW only only way to be sure.
The people that ruined the market were miners. I suppose if your boss offered you a raise, you would decline, because making more money from people who want to pay you more is somehow wrong.

Haha "Minimally used (Mined 24/7 for years) 3070ti. hahaha

Thats what all the ex miners tell the people they sell their overworked gpus to.

So, in your opinion all second hand 30-series are from people that did mining?

Yes agree miners, flippers etc ruined it. Not sure what people wanting or not wanting to pay employees has anything to do with this.

I was lucky and picked up two 5800x3d chips for $280 ea.. Got one for Me and My Nephew, who already installed his but he didn't get as much of an improvement since he already had an R7 5800.

I built mine!

Its the first machine I've built since my Core I7 2600K.

I could have saved another $100 to $150 if I had waited till prime day and I could have gotten a slightly better mainboard but it is fast and stable.

I kicked off the build because there was a $100 off on the video card and I had $200 in cash back rewards saved on my discover card so why not?

I have two 140mm fans pointing up at the video card along with three 140mm fans for exhaust at the top and the back.

I just bought a 7600X for $231 (without the junk cooler) from B&H. For the $11 more than the 7600, I thought the deal was a no-brainer. I also got some other great deals on a new build - to replace my existing linux server build based on an Athlon 5350. I am wondering since I ordered this week whether the retailers I ordered from, Newegg and B&H, were pricing to be competitive with "Prime Day". I did order one thing from Amazon, a Thermalright Burst Assassin 120 Cooler that was $23.

I've been waiting due to high prices, and, as far as I am concerned, I am glad I waited. Prices were very good, IMO.

I've got more builds planned, too, but I am waiting on those.

Motherboard prices have barely come down at all. Releasing the cheaper B650 platform doesn't count as lowered prices when it still costs as much as the previous generation's enthusiast platform and has even less features.

The point about the pay is that if someone offered you more money, you would take it. Why is it bad for a company, like Nvidia or AMD to do the same? People bash these companies as being "greedy" for wanting to make the most they can off of a product that is nothing but a luxury for most of us. It's like saying Porsche is greedy because they don't offer a car I can afford.

If building a Gaming PC make sure your performance is above the threshold for unreal engine 5 games for eg. For medium 1440p they recommend

IMMORTALS OF AVEUM™ RECOMMENDED REQUIREMENTS
OS: Windows 10 64-bit or later
CPU Intel: Core i7-12700
CPU AMD: Ryzen 7 5700X
RAM: 16Gb (Dual-Channel)
GPU Nvidia: GeForce RTX 3080Ti (12GB)
GPU AMD: Radeon RX 6800XT (16GB)
DirectX: Version 12.1 or later
Storage: 110GB (SSD strongly recommend)

This will cost around the $1k total system build for PS5 Pro like graphics today
for $1500 you can get 5800X3D with 7900XT which will likely get you 4k 30 fps high to 60 fps medium settings
or some are lucky to get the rtx 4080 as low as $999 with a total system build of $1800 that will get you PS6 like graphics today @ 4k high 60 fps.
Although you can't get a gaming PC to get minimum specs at the same price as the base PS5 you can get close with these specs.

Great chip MicroCenter had the 5600x3d chips for 178.00 picked up two. About the same in gaming as the 5800x3ds.

I took advantage of the Prime Day sales (Amazon and other vendors) to assemble my next gaming rig. Still expensive as I'm going top tier on everything including an RTX 4090. But due to those sales probably saved $500 or more on the other components.

The 7600x is $199.99 on Amazon. Ask if BH will match price in refund maybe.

Videocardz just reported that Bestbuy has the same price.

That and price of MB + DDR5 kept me away vs MicroCenter Deal on 5600x3d/MB/RAM I don't like surprises like that nor excuses. DDR4 and B550s been around the block longer fewer issues and growing pains. I do salute you that choose to venture on with the new gear.
