    Hi there.

i have HP550 (not much), but i was wandering, what's the maximum range for taking a wifi signal?

Is there a possibility to extend/to catch a wifi signal on longer distances with some software or something? I have just moved to a house near my apartment (where my network is set up) and the distance is, well, nearly 1500 meters (1.5 km).

1500m is almost a full statute mile; you will need a new ISP connection at the remote location as WiFi will not traverse that distance even with a repeater.

You may need to use a satellite connection if all else fails
