This is my first time here and appreciate (in advance) all your feedback. My wife has a Dell Vostro 1520 (approximately 2 years old) with MS Windows XP. Her computer periodically freezes up in progressive stages during the boot up. For example, she will get to the Windows screen and cannot go any further. After several re-boots, she will get to the "login" stage, however she cannot login. After what seems to be a couple of hours, she will get past the "login" stage, but will not be able to pull up all of her applications. I'm no computer wiz, but after some research, does she have a bad windows driver or is the hard drive going bad? Hope I've been as specific as possible.
