WiFi catcher problem

Hi guys , i have a problem with my daughters laptop , its a dell inspiron 1520 , the internet wont work anymore. i keep getting this message.....Your wifi catcher band configuration is not compatible . i've checked a few things.....device manager - all is well , in services com+ event system is on automatic also in services Wlan Auto config is set to automatic. the router is working perfect as my other daughters laptop can pick the internet up no problem . i've checked lots of posts on the net , seems alot of people are having this problem . couldnt find any with an inspiron 1520 .....all help is much appreciated.
