Will a Mac hard drive work in a PC?

Its an Hitatchi 251GB SATA laptop drive that says Apple HDD Firmware on the label. I can get it cheap but dont want to bother if I cant use it.
 
sure; you will need to delete the partition, create a new one and then format it as NTFS

The ISSUE is the drive type {IDE, SATA, or possibly even SCSI}

Make sure it's compatible with your motherboard connectors.
 
He said its SATA, so it will work. But like you said he'll have to delete the partition or at least reformat it. The "Apple Firmware" sticker probably means its formatted to HFS+, I really doubt the drive itself is any different.
