Will Phenom 965 BE be unlocked or we should unlock it via mobo?

    Can you say that IF phenom 965 BE may be Locked from Begining , or its Pure Quad Core that is Fully unlocked from First !

    for example i5 760 is Unlocked & there is nothing to Unlock , i wanna know if Phenom is just like that & wont be Locked !

    The Black Edition AMD processors are all unlocked from the get go ... nothing to worry about.

    The Phenom II X4 965 is a quad-core processor to begin with so you do not need to unlock any cores, hence the X4. If you got a Phenom II X2 5xx series then you'd only have a dual-core with the possibility to unlock the other cores. The Black Edition label means that the core multiplier is unlocked, allowing for easier OCing.
