    Hi,At the moment i am running an amd sempron 2800+,i am thinking of upgrading to this AMD Athlon 4200 Dual Core Processor Motherboard Bundle the motherboard is Biostar AMD GF8100 M2+SE Socket AM2 / AM2+ Motherboard,i think this wil be an improvement,but not being that technical i thought i had better check before buying.Regards Martin.

    yes that will be a vast improvement. the sempron 2800+ runs at 2.0Ghz i believe and the x2 4200 comes at 2.2ghz with about 5-6x the transistors, more cache, and better instruction sets. and obviously two cores for multi tasking or programs that wil take advantage of them. how much of a difference you realize depends on how you use your machine.
