Hi there guys, i have a simple question that i can't seem to get a straight answer on. I've Googled it plenty of times, but i always get a a yes or a no or a maybe answer, nothing solid.

My computer is having some problems, Windows Update always finds an error, so it won't update, Windows Defender finds an error and won't update, also, my clock and weather forecast on my toolbar disappeared? I've checked both error codes from Windows Update and Windows Defender and Microsoft has never heard of them nor do they have a solution for it.

So my thought is; if i upgrade my system, will i get these features back to working normally?

I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32-Bit, if i upgrade to Windows Vista Ultimate, will i lose all my data on my hard drive or any programs? Thank you very much for the help.

Sounds like you may have some type of virus or malware. I'd suggest finding the 8 step virus removal program here on TS.
