  1. Hey,

I have been scouring forums and googling for a solution to this but cannot find one that works! I have been getting the BAD_POOL_HEADER error every time I try to start my Acer 5755G Aspire. I haven't backed up my drive in a while so system restore is not an option. Does anyone know of a solution when you cannot even start up windows? I can still access adv. options and bios.

Have you check your memory? If not I would run mem test. At least seven passes.
http://www.memtest86.com Most of the time bad pool header leads to memory problems or a bad drive

Memory is the most likely - - then test the HD with CHKDSK C: /F /R
