Win 8 Install on SSD - slow logins

Hey guys,

I just upgraded to Win 8 yesterday, got all the drivers and all that and was quite happy with where I was. Now I am noticing a bit of slow down. Between the welcome screen and the tiled UI, there is a good 5+ second delay. Anyone know why this would be?

Using a Intel 520 120GB SSD
i7-3610QM processor
16GB @ 1333mhz

Have you been doing any Windows Updates that involve .Net ? Those binaries have to compile after update and it can take a while to complete.

Hmm, sounds plausible, I am not sure that is was a windows update that did it though, I noticed it after installing on of the drivers for my keyboard "hotkey 8.00" - but it wasn't working anyways so I uninstalled it and later had CCleaner go through the registy and it removed a whole bunch of .net crap.

It seems to be preforming properly atm ^_^
