I have been having some trouble with my Win XP professional edition. Hence tried repairing using my XP CD.
The installation seemed to go on well. It has gone through Collecting Informationt, Dynamic Update, Preparing for Installation and Installing Windows.
But it has stalled after this. At the bottom it says setup will complete in 18 minutes. I have been waiting for 3 hours now and nothing has happenned.The green boxes at the bottom are moving and also the text on the right has been telling me the features of Win XP. This text has also been changing regularly. But the instalation coudnt be completed.
I tried rebooting the system. But it comes back and stops at the same point.
I have tried removing the CD and restarting, but the same has happenned.
I desperately need the date on my C drive. I just need to take a backup and after which I can format. Can anyone pls help me.
