Win32/Heur virus

Hey,
I'm another victim of Win32/Heur virus, I had been using AVG as my antivirus and firewall. I disabled the avg firewall and started using zonealarm firewall. My AVG updates will run out on March 10th, after that I will prolly switch to avast.
My PC loads up fine but is now sluggish and slow. I would be very greatful if you can provide some insight on how to wipe this clean on my PC. I have tried to clean it off with the AVG and spybot S&D software several times, but it doesn't seem to work completely. I am just tempted to reformat my drive and start afresh

I have followed the 8 steps that are recommended on the site.
My Pc did crash twice while doing the SuperAntiSpyware scan but I was able to do a complete scan in safe mode.
I was not able to run add/remove software... to remove older versions of java, I have got the latest version of Java downloaded though.

Since I didn't get any reponse I decided to reformat the drive and reinstall, you lot can ignore this post

Also as AVG8 didn't protect really well last time
Consider installing Avira free AntiVirus instead (much better off :grinthumb )
