Windoows 8 install failed

    So I was all gun hoe about installing win8 but on the reboot the splash screen comes up and then goes dark until I restart and it says that the install failed. The first few attempts I tried running from the download in windows. I then burned the install to a disk. when I boot up I start to get a bunch of artifacting. If I move the mouse it leaves frozen white pixels all over the screen.

    My computer is a HP M8000N running Win7 with 6gig ram and a GTX 465 Graphics card. I have updated all drives and still no luck. I was looking to update the Bios but I do not see any updates available
