Windows 2000 Bootdisk

  1. Okay guys, here's a question: Is there a way to take the 4 W2K bootdisks and combine all of those onto one CD? Floppies always die when I use them, and it's a hassle trying to boot W2K to get it installed considering that sometimes it fails and I have to make the disks all over again. Unfortunately, my CD isn't bootable, and I've tried NTFS Read/Write utilities with no success. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

You can find places online with the necessary file to make your 2k disk bootable with Nero or Roxio (or probably whatever you use). That is probably the simpliest way. You can figure it out from those links.

What about the long, drawn out, and hard way involving the 4 boot images located in the BOOTDISK folder?

I'm sure it can be done, but why? I can appriciate if you are doing this to learn something, but its like trying to learn throwing underhand in baseball, sure you could do it, but it takes longer to get to where you want to go, and it doesn't give you a skill that is helpful.
