Windows 2k group policy

Discussion in 'Windows OS' started by slippyjim, Jul 4, 2005.

  1. Hi,

I have a windows 2000 SP4 laptop that I got from work so it has all the group policy stuff installed and so the user that I log in can not configure windows updates. I know the username and password for the administrator but it won't let me in, I can get in as the administrator in safe mode though.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I think it might be something to do me selecting the wrong domain.

But the main problem is, when I have can get in as the administrator how do I configure it so my user account can enable and disable windows update?

    Thanks,
    Steve
