Just out of interest has anyone had any issues activating Norton 2009 with Windows 7

My Dad was on the phone, seems that to activate it you go on line then select all the text on a webpage, copy it and then its supposed to go onto another screen with an activation message.

But it didnt...now i have to travel down there to see why...

I did a google on the subject and found a webpage from Symantec about the issue, that has a fix for DNS settings....

Not sure how DNS would affect it...

Not a good idea at all. If you have a current Norton key and windows 7, go to norton's website, download updated installer. The key should work no problem and PRESTO!

Same with any 2009 anti virus.
