Hi, I installed Windows 7 today, but I'm no having any sound. The sound worked when i had XP, and i can't find out what sound card I have. My Mic doesn't work, and no kind of sound either. I have been in the DxDiag, but when I'm clicking on the sound tab, this message comes up:
No sound card was found. If one is expected, you should install a sound driver provided by the hardware manufacturer.
Here's a screen when I'm in the general:

I've tried the Everest program, does this tell you anything?:

I've been in the 'Other devices' in the Device manager. Multimedia Audio Controller, and Unknown Device is under the tab.

    Please help, I'm so frustrated!
    Thanks in advance,
    Hexero -

This is a common problem... Have you run Windows Updates fully and completely? If you see "Windows is up to date" select "Check for updates, until there are no more available
