Windows 7 computer wake up problem with boot problem

Three times after power as gone out in the house and the computer shut down when I turn the computer back on, it boots up than the screen goes black. All three times the computer was in sleep mode when the power gone out in the house.

All three times it had problems booting into windows. Turn the computer on and it will boot than the screen will go black. Shut the computer off than turn it back on and it boot than the screen will go black and same thing over and over. After many times it will than boot into windows.


Could the hard drive be going or does this sound like wake up problem. Where the computer is in sleep mode and the power goes out and when you turn it back on it boots into sleep mode.


Note I have had no problems with the computer waking from sleep mode in windows this only seem to be problem after the power goes out in the house.

Power flashes are not good for electrical devices. Not good for your PC. Why is the power going off?

If you live where power service is unreliable, it would be wise to invest in a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) something like these:

• Cyberpower 800avr
• APC

There's a cable & software to shutdown your system in a controlled manner to protect it.
