  1. Hi to all,

I updated my windows 7 32-bit machine but after some restarting now it doesn't start up. That is it doesn't show the desktop screen. I tried to repair it using Start up Repair but it can't fix the problem.
I also tried the following command in "system recovery options" > command prompt:
    X:\Sources>bootrec /fixmbr
    and
    X:\Sources>bootrec /fixboot
    but no changes occurred.
    Any idea to fix that?

    Thanks in advance.

    Can you re-install Windows fresh?

Your mean is re-installing the OS with formatting the C:\ drive?

OK, I re-installed the Windows 7 and put the updating source files into a flash memory and updated the OS by that flash. This time no problem occurred so I guess the before problem had to do with that I put those source into a folder on the desktop. My method for updating is offline update by some tool.
PS: I sometimes become very surprised why Windows is such vulnerable.
