Windows 7 Imaging

I work for a company that has about 2500 computers of all types laptops, notebooks, desktops, etc. We planning to deploy Win7 within the next few months and want to create just one image for all of our machines. Could someone point me in the right direction of a script that will query whether a computer is a desktop or laptop? I've done research on the web but seem to be floating in circles...
