Windows 7 update

When shutting down my PC a windows update was automatically enabled. My on screen text is now too small and if I change the resolution I lose some of the screen content as it is too large to fit. What do I need to do?

If Windows 7, hit Start, type in 'DPI'. Select first entry, make it 100% (or whatever it was).

If not Win7, let us know.

I had already tried this and even at 125% the print is small and displayed page expands off the side of the screen
