Just throwing in my 2 cents that Windows 8 (with the free Start Menu 8) is a fantastic upgrade from Windows 7. Yes, most desktop people hate Metro, but turning it off is super easy and once you do that, you'll really love all of the enhancements that Windows 8 brings.

Yes you're being thick.windows 8 might have it's have it's problems but it's nowhere near vista.of course coming to a site like this and reading the comments you'd think otherwise...

Maybe it was advertising that killed their sales! I don't know about the rest of you, but I thought those commercials were major stupidity.

I think Win8 and Surface both have equally stupid commercials. Neither have interested me at all, if anything I'd rather that commercial time returned to me. Oh wait.. I've skipped watching tv, except for like the one week I'm visiting others. Mainly since I'm without a PC in some way, and a PSP has limited enjoyment for long periods of time.
