Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file

Whenever I try to open an .exe file, this error shows up:
Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have appropriate permissions to access them.
I am the only user on this computer so i am sure that i am the administrator.
What should I do to be able to get rid of this error message and run the file.

Check this: Start, Control Panel, User Accounts, Change an Account, (your account); are you an Administrator or Limited?


edit: I should mention that IF you are Limited and want to do something you can change your account to Admin priviledges but not all things will necessarily be given unto you. There is AN Administrator Account and administratot sccounts.

In any event, IF you change yours to do something you should change it BACK to Limited afterwards to prevent hijacks.

Unless you have a bulletproof Firewall and AV.

I checked. I am the Administrator. I am not limited. So what should I do now?
