Windows IE8 locks up when I try to save a pic

i click on a picture, then click file save as, and the save as box comes up....i pic a location and then say ok and the box half goes away and the window is locked solid

i then have to go to task manager and shut down ie windows

its been doing it for a couple of months now

Have you checked your computer for virus or other malware? What antivirus and other protection software are you running?

i use bit defender and adware

scans show clear
