Windows key is "stuck" according to windows?

    Hi, I am having the most annoying issue ever! The windows key on my laptop is apearently "stuck even though the key is not pressed down or literally stuck in any sense. Even when I go to try the virtual keyboard, it still acts the same as if the windows key is stuck! If ANYONE has any advice as to how to fix this issue, I'd extremely appreciate it!!!

    I don't know if the free version is still available from their site (I couldn't find it, but didn't look too hard), but it looks like you could make some use of IHateThisKey.

    how did you prove it wasn't a hardware issue?

    Do you have a touchpad smartkey program? If so - turn that off.
