Windows Media Center Install Issue

I recently picked up an emachine from work with windows media center edition 2005 on it. unfortunately the motherboard died, so my hope was to pull the hard drive, reinstall mce because it had a virus and use it in my pc. now i find that it continually says that my code off the COA is not valid, and i cannot install the os. Any ideas on how to figure this out...i cant find a free way to get ahold of microsoft for assistance.

This probably because the disk you are using to install on different machine has a different ID and wont accept the OEM Key on the COA. Even if you use the CD supplied by EMachines the Key on the COA might not work because the new machine will have a different signature and you will have to phone microsoft to get a new Key, and that is only if the licence allows you to install on a different machine. thats the best i can think of for think of for this problem i hope someone else has a solution for you.

good luck
